Hi there....remember me?

Gosh, shortcomings can be so problematic! I love love love being a therapist and connecting/working with my clients BUT I am not at all good at adding to my blogs! I admit it! I think of things that I want to ‘put out there’ all the time but with my tendency towards ADD scattered behavior I keep putting it off! Guilty!

So, the first step in changing is ACCEPTANCE: I WILL change this! To begin: WELCOME TO 2024! How is the year shaping up for you? Did you make those dreaded resolutions? If so, how’s that going for you? Goal setting is a very individual thing and I happen to believe that everyone has a right to approach CHANGE in his or her own way.

I happen to know that I tend to rebel against OFFICIAL GOAL SETTING so I didn’t settle on any particular goals for 2024. However, I’ve been slipping on my health management (diet, exercise, stress management) so I did a thing! I joined an online weight/health management APP and am loving it, as skeptical as I was! My sister recommended it to me and that piqued my interest so I signed up for the ‘free trial period’! I’m nothing if not cheap!

As it turns out I love it! It’s gentle, funny, informative and above all it has prompted me to BE ACCOUNTABLE for my actions. This same gentle nudging is what allowed me to become sober FORTY TWO YEARS AGO! I know, I’m old! Point is: whatever works FOR YOU is what I recommend! IF you are feeling inspired to solve some ‘life problems’ and IF you’ve thought about trying out (or returning to) therapy, TRY IT!

Life has its seasons, you may have benefitted from therapy for a problem you’ve long since fixed, but there may be new issued in your life NOW that a supportive therapist could help you solve.

2024 is young; what your life looks/feels like at the end of the year is ALL UP TO YOU! Think about diving into something that is causing you pain! There is nothing to lose!
